Sluts and Goddesses
1990
The sluts and goddesses within Linda Montano, a series of sixteen (16) transformation photographic portraits. Cibachrome photographs, edition of 10. Linda Montano, a close friend of Sprinkle's and a seminal figure within contemporary feminist performance art, is both the subject and collaborator in this series of photographic portraits. Montana is represented by a self-portrait (upper-left) and then by a series of fifteen transformation photographs depicting her in different personas. The work explores Montano's own personas, and comments on aspects of similar personas within women in general.
